Constantia Uncluttered
The challenge here was to take a ‘busy’ and divided house and give it some refinement, light … more light and a wonderfully connected entertainment flow. A classy bar area was the client’s particular desire, so this became the focus around which the remaining design would follow. We took a blank wall, created another level of interest by cladding the wall with natural stone and creating a beautiful glass recess. Lighting was key here too so that a wonderful ambience could be achieved. Security doors (my least favorite) were instantly removed as the house already had state of the art security. -
Constantia Uncluttered
We bashed through the existing wall that led from the hall to the lounge and ‘stretched’ the house to incorporate a ‘glass house’. The pebble fireplace added another dynamic. The originally ‘chopped’ up exterior also received a ‘face lift’. By redoing and extending the paving area and streamlining it the entire pool side was opened up considerably and appears as if it is double the size! -
Constantia Uncluttered: The bathroom
The children’s bathroom was transformed into an elegant and modern space where both guests and children could feel at home.
Exit the bright yellow and white … and enter the mocha travertine and green theme. We managed to gain some extra height with the existing ceiling and made use of starlights for a tinge of magic.
